Choosing a color

Use color to create the atmosphere you desire.

Brighten a “dark room” with warmer, lighter tones. Create a family friendly, upbeat atmosphere.

Cool a “bright room” with cooler, medium colors. Create a quiet, restful atmosphere.

Tans & beiges are great neutral colors for any room of the home. Vibrant, lively colors are great for family rooms, play-rooms, and children’s rooms.

Light vs. Dark

Light colored carpet creates a more spacious appearance, but shows more soil than medium to dark tones.

Medium to medium-dark tones, tweeds, multi colors, and pattern styles will help disguise common soil in the home.

Deep rich tones (or darker colored carpets) make a room appear smaller and cozier, more intimate, but show lint more easily.

Before you make a final color choice, take a sample home and view the color in “real time” home lighting. The color under store lighting may appear completely different when you get it home.
