Level Loop Commercial Styles

Accross America the typical office building flooring is the level loop.  It’s a durable, cost effective, low maintenance product. The only floor covering that offers warmth (real and perceived), sound deading capability, color and pattern choices. Its easy to see why it is far and away the floorcovering of choice.

The face weight will play an important part in the lifespan of the carpet. Look for 30 oz. face weights and up if you want something to hold up to very high commercial traffic patterns. The 28 oz. commonly found will hold up in most commercial applications.

The gauge of the loop, that is the number of loops/stitches per square inch is also important to durability; this is the count across width.  The stitch rate is the measurement lengthwise of the loops/stitches.  1/10 gauge to 5/32 gauge are terrific.

Nylon will provide more color options and more subtle shades.  Nylon is a longer lasting more durable yarn, holding its shape and looking new longer.
